Who owns this IP? IP address lookup
Look up who owns any IP address using official registry records: the organization, network range, and where to report abuse.
Seen an unfamiliar IP address in a login alert, a server log, or an email header? This lookup checks the official internet registries (through the public RDAP system) to show which organization the address belongs to. It opens with your own address, so you can see how it works.
What the results mean
- Owner: the organization the address block is registered to, often an internet provider, hosting company, or large business.
- Network and range: the block of addresses the IP belongs to.
- Abuse contact: where to report spam, hacking attempts, or other abuse coming from that address.
Can I find a person from an IP?
No. Registry records show the organization that owns the address block, such as an internet provider, not the individual customer using it. Only the provider can link an address to a customer, usually only through a legal process. See what an IP address reveals.
Someone is trying to log in to my account from this IP
Change your password, turn on two-step verification, and sign out of other sessions in the account's security settings. If the address belongs to a hosting company, you can report the activity to its abuse contact. Our password generator can create a strong new password.
