Security checkup
Get your personal security score in two minutes. Pip checks your browser and connection, asks a few quick questions, and shows what to fix.
Pip runs a few automatic checks, then asks 7 quick yes-or-no questions. You'll get a score out of 100 and a fix for every missing point. Your answers stay in this browser.
Most hacked accounts aren't the work of genius hackers. They happen because of reused passwords, missing two-step verification, old software, and convincing scam messages. This checkup focuses on exactly those, so the fixes you get are the ones that make the biggest difference.
What the score includes
- Automatic checks: a secure connection, whether your browser is up to date, a WebRTC leak test, and whether you've practiced spotting scams.
- Your answers: two-step verification, unique passwords, automatic updates, your router's admin password, Wi-Fi security, a screen lock, and backups.
The browser check estimates the current version from release schedules, so a brand-new release may take a few days to count. Answering "Not sure" scores like "No," because unsure usually means it isn't set up yet.
The three fixes that matter most
- Turn on two-step verification for your email. Your email can reset every other password.
- Stop reusing passwords. A password manager makes unique passwords effortless.
- Keep everything updated. Updates close the holes attackers use.
Score 80 or more and Pip earns a shield. Pip will remind you to re-check in a month.
